Queen Of The Point Wraps Up a Thrilling Weekend of Women’s Longboarding at Surfers Point in Ventura

Ventura, CAQueen Of The Point (QOTPCST24) celebrated an exhilarating start to its 2025 season at Surfers Point in Ventura, California, from October 25-27, 2024. Bringing together top amateur and professional female longboarders, the event saw intense competition across all divisions against a backdrop of near all-day glassy conditions and consistent 2-5 foot waves, creating an ideal showcase for the style and skill of women’s longboarding.

The weekend kicked off with the SurfAid Cup, where participants competed while raising funds to support SurfAid’s humanitarian programs, benefiting remote communities worldwide. This charitable surf-off set the tone for a weekend filled with community spirit and dedication to meaningful causes.

On Saturday and Sunday, surfers enjoyed glassy, manageable conditions that perfectly highlighted the art of longboarding. Spectators and competitors alike were treated to thrilling performances, with surfers maximizing the clean conditions to ride long, flowing waves. The competition culminated in standout wins across age divisions, celebrating a diverse and skilled community of female athletes.

The celebrations continued on Saturday night at the Halloween Bash hosted by Leashless Brewing Co., where participants dressed in costume, shared laughs, and celebrated a great day on the waves. The weekend closed with an awards ceremony at Topa Topa Brewing Co., featuring live music by Bo Martin and a special appearance by Malia Ilagan, creating an unforgettable moment to honor the champions and bring together the community.

“We couldn’t have asked for better conditions or a more inspiring community of surfers to kick off the 2025 season,” said Queen Of The Point founder, Carla Zamora. “The waves, the weather, and the level of talent were all incredible. Every surfer brought something unique to the competition, making this event truly memorable.”
