FAQs
Event Dates & Location

May 7–10, 2026, at Cloud 9, General Luna, Siargao.

Best Route to Siargao

Fly into Cebu, then take a Philippine Airlines flight to Siargao. Plan connections carefully—flights are limited.

If You Need to Stay in Cebu

The Waterfront Hotel and Casino, right next to Mactan-Cebu Airport, offers a convenient stopover option.

Surfboard-Friendly Airline

China Airlines allows your longboard bag as one free checked item.

Meal Costs

Expect meals between $4 and $8, depending on your choices.

Surf Break Access

Cloud 9 and Jacking Horse are land-accessible; other breaks around General Luna often require boats. The north and south have drivable spots too.

Getting Around the Island

Motorbikes are easy and popular. Vehicles can also be rented daily or weekly.

Accommodation

VIPs are at Easy Does It. Other recommended stays: Fatlips Surf Lodge, Nutmeg, Marahuyo, Bravo, Siago, Kwai Villas, and Kalima. On booking.com or Airbnb, search General Luna and Catangnan.

Visa Info

Americans don’t need a visa, but you must fill out the Philippine e-Travel form via their app before arrival.

Currency & Payments

The currency is Philippine pesos (around 56 pesos per dollar). Cards, including tap-to-pay, are widely accepted. Still, get cash at Cebu Airport, as ATMs on the island can be unreliable. The Philippines does not use Venmo or Zelle. They use GCash.

May Weather

It’s hot, with lighter winds and smaller swells. Less rain than earlier months, but still humid. Bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, electrolytes, and any essential meds.

Board Rentals

Fatlips offers rentals, and Zamora Surf has a limited selection of boards.

Treading Lightly

This year, we emphasize being responsible visitors. Respect local customs, minimize environmental impact, and be mindful in all spaces. Leave a positive impact—treading lightly matters!
