Welcome to the Queen Of The Point – Siargao 2026 (QOTPC9), the first event for the 2026 season!
QOTPBU26, like its predecessors, is more than just a contest. It's a platform for acknowledgment, respect, and encouragement. The event kicks off with an opening ceremony at the Traveler Surf Club, providing a chance for participants and spectators to mingle and set the stage for a weekend of high-level surfing and community building.
The spirit of competition burns bright at QOTPBU, with past events witnessing incredible talent. From young chargers in the 10 & Under division showing off their burgeoning skills to seasoned surfers in the 60s division demonstrating timeless grace and prowess, each participant brings their unique style and passion to the waves of Malibu.

Fly into Cebu, then take a Philippine Airlines flight to Siargao. Plan connections carefully—flights are limited.

Expect meals between $4 and $8, depending on your choices.
Cloud 9 and Jacking Horse are land-accessible; other breaks around General Luna often require boats. The north and south have drivable spots too.
Motorbikes are easy and popular. Vehicles can also be rented daily or weekly.

Americans don’t need a visa, but you must fill out the Philippine e-Travel form via their app before arrival.
The currency is Philippine pesos (around 56 pesos per dollar). Cards, including tap-to-pay, are widely accepted. Still, get cash at Cebu Airport, as ATMs on the island can be unreliable. The Philippines does not use Venmo or Zelle. They use GCash.
It’s hot, with lighter winds and smaller swells. Less rain than earlier months, but still humid. Bring sunscreen, mosquito repellent, electrolytes, and any essential meds.

As of January 2026, China Airlines has routes to the Philippines where longboards can count as part of your two (2) checked baggage.
For domestic travel into Siargao (IAO), Philippines Airlines (PAL) is the only airline that will take longboards. It is suggested to buy directly on the PAL website and include extra baggage at the time of making your reservation.
