WHY SIARGAO?
Some places make you feel small. Siargao makes you feel alive.

A ten-day immersive retreat for women surfers of all ages and skill levels. Set against world-class waves, Royalty Rising blends coached surf sessions, professional documentation, cultural experiences, and genuine sisterhood into one unforgettable experience. This is not a competition. There are no judges, no scores, and no pressure — just you, the ocean, and a community of women rising together. Everyone is recognized. Everyone is crowned.
Royalty Rising isn't a series of surf sessions — it's a progression. Every day builds on the last, and by the time you paddle out for Community Heat Day, you'll feel the difference.
Your first guided session meets you exactly where you are. No judgment, no comparison. Just you, your board, and a coach who sees you.
You've found your footing. Now we push. Your second guided session builds on what you learned, with real-time feedback and documentation so you can see your own growth.
Your third guided session is where it clicks. More advanced technique, deeper coaching, and the confidence that comes from two days of building toward this moment.
The water is where you grow. The evenings are where you connect. Hosted dinners, storytelling nights, cultural experiences, and open mic moments woven through the week — because the women you meet here will still be in your corner long after the retreat ends.
Before Community Heat Day, Ian Zamora leads a surfboard tech workshop — shaping, design, the relationship between you and what you're riding. Because understanding your equipment changes everything about how you move in the water.
You bring it all together. Bracketed heats, coached and documented, peer-voted awards, and a closing Crown Ceremony that celebrates every single woman who showed up and rose.

Perched at the eastern edge of the Philippine archipelago, this teardrop-shaped island is one of the first landmasses to catch the full energy of the Pacific Ocean. The swells here aren't manufactured or manicured — they arrive raw, powerful, and generous, shaped by thousands of miles of open water into something worth traveling across the world for.
But Siargao isn't just a wave. It's a culture. Surfing isn't an activity here — it's the heartbeat of the island. The locals grew up on these breaks. They know the tides the way most people know their own neighborhoods. When you paddle out in Siargao, you're not just entering the ocean — you're entering a living, breathing surf community that has been here long before the world caught on.
May is when it all comes together. Peak swell season. Warm water. Offshore winds that groom the surface into something pristine. No wetsuit. No excuses. Just you and some of the most beautiful waves on earth.
Off the water, Siargao moves at a rhythm you'll want to follow. Motorbikes weaving through coconut-lined roads. Fresh seafood at sunset. The kind of quiet that reminds you what rest actually feels like.
We chose Siargao because it earns the experience we're building around it. Royalty Rising deserves a place that's equal parts wild and welcoming — and Siargao is exactly that.

As the journey nears its close comes the Community Heat Day — everything competition always promised and never delivered. Heats, but no scores. Brackets, but no losers. Every woman paddles out in front of her sisters, gets coached, gets cheered, and gets it documented — her best waves, her hardest wipeouts, the moment she finally stood up. No judges. Just the water, the women on the beach screaming your name, and a camera to catch the rise. When the heats are done, the queens vote.
Then, on the final night, we dress up. We trade our boardshorts for something beautiful and gather one last time.
Every single participant is crowned. Not the best surfer, not the most experienced — every woman who showed up and rose through this journey. Because that's what you are when you leave here: a queen. That has always been the heart of Queen of the Point, and it always will be.
The peer votes recognize the women who moved us, inspired us, pushed us further, or simply showed up with something the ocean seemed to recognize. Their standouts receive a handcrafted coconut crown medal — not from judges, because there are none here, but from their fellow queens. Then the music starts, and we celebrate.
The Community Heat Day and Crown Ceremony are also open to those outside the full retreat — register for just this experience as a stand-alone day. Whether you're local, short on time, or want a taste of Royalty Rising before the full journey, this is your way in. No ten days required to be crowned.
Three progressive guided sessions — Fundamentals, Progression, and Mastery — led by professional coaches with real-time feedback tailored to your skill level. Every session is documented.
Shore and in-water photographers and videographers capturing your journey from Day 1 through the Crown Ceremony. Two video feedback sessions included so you can actually see your growth.
A full week of curated off-water experiences — hosted dinners, a mental performance talk, storytelling night, open mic gathering, yoga and mobility sessions, and a surfboard tech workshop with shaper Ian Zamora.
Bracketed, coached surf heats for every participant — documented, peer-voted, and celebrated. No scores. No judges. Just your community showing up for you.
The closing night of Royalty Rising. Dress up, show up, and receive your crown — because every woman who showed up and rose deserves one. Peer-voted standouts also receive a handcrafted coconut crown medal from their fellow queens.
