Queen Of The Point 2023: Celebrating Women’s Longboard Surfing and Camaraderie, Sponsored by DCH Subaru of Thousand Oaks

Malibu, CA – The Queen Of The Point, the highly anticipated event celebrating women’s longboard surfing, took place at First Point Malibu on June 24-25, 2023. Despite the small and challenging surf conditions, the stoke level remained high, creating an unforgettable experience for participants and spectators alike.

The event was made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship and support from DCH Subaru of Thousand Oaks, who demonstrated their commitment to empowering women in surfing. Their contribution played a vital role in making the Queen Of The Point a resounding success.

The competition showcased the incredible talent and skill of female longboard surfers from around the world. While the waves proved to be difficult to navigate at times, the athletes displayed remarkable resilience and determination, making the most out of the conditions. The sun was shining throughout the event, adding an extra layer of excitement as everyone soaked up the rays and enjoyed the beach atmosphere.

  1. Sally Cohen – Winner of the Queen Of The Point 2023, taking home $3,200 in prize money.
  2. Honolua Blomfield – Second place, earning $1,600.
  3. Ming Hui Brown – Third place, winning $960.
  4. Sohia Culhane – Fourth place, earning $640.

To soften the blow of the challenging surf conditions, the $8,000 prize purse was distributed among the Top 8 competitors, acknowledging their outstanding performance and dedication.

The Queen Of The Point 2023 successfully showcased not only the talent and skill of the athletes but also the unity and strength of the women’s longboarding community.
